musique

i love finding out where artists get their samples from, http://www.whosampled.com/ being a great, but ugly, resource. its always an awesome light bulb in your head moment when you piece 2 tracks together.

if you're familiar with lupe fiasco, im sure you know kick, push which is one of his better songs. (ps. paris, tokyo fucking sucks).

anyway, that delightful tune is sampled from Celetse Legaspi, a phillipino singer. pretty epic stuff

anyway, the best lupe track hands down, is he says, she says, which is sampled from the delightful lou johnson's - the last one to be loved. ive been playing this track nonstop for the past week whilst in my appendix funk. you might be more familiar with lou's OHH HOW CAN I FORGET YOU, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING THERE TO REMIND MEEEe you'll always be a part of me woah-oOhOH-OH

anyway, one of the BEST samples ever (besides kanye's use of great expectations), is T.I sampling Crystal Water's - Gypsy Woman.

see if you can figure out what delightful song T.I samples in this one.
